Swirl

I have officially started a second blog!!!! It's called the Randomness of Me, and it's kinda just gonna be a bunch of random things that I posted because I simply feel like it. I thought I would create it for people who are more interested in getting to know me as a person. I am very much aware that the first post is pretty bizarre, I was VERY bored at the time and kind of just blabbered out a bunch of random ramblings. But this is Kristin we're talking about here! You really should get use to it (: PLEASE CHECK IT OUT!

Swirl
Two are in pain
One takes a smile
Three are left standing
A single worthwhile

Loss and victory
Pride and regret
Swirling emotions
Fate still lingers unset

The happiness in each twirl
The sting of the spin
Swirling the same earth
Merging each win

It’s what makes the world
Diverse and divine,
From any other space
Seen by human eye

For joy cannot be taken
Without one shedding a tear
And though seven share the grief
Blissfulness still circles the Sphere

It may not seem fair
Certainly not right
But that’s the cruel game
Of ever swirling life

The Unknown by Kristin and The Small Voice by Annamaria

Posting two things today; one by me and one again by Annamaria:

The Unknown

The unknown.

Truly the the thing that scares us people the most, unfamiliar territory. Places in time we can not predict off of. Things that we do not yet, and may never, have an explanation to.

The darkness. It's shadows cling around you, suck you in, hide all things familiar from sight. We all fear it naturally, without hesitation.

But think about it. Life is no less than a full face dive into the unknown. A leap into an unread story book. A step into the darkness.

We learn to face it. To drink, live, breath, eat off of the things we don't see coming. Sometimes it will bring us good, sometimes it won't. But we hold our heads high and take it.

That's life.

By:  ME (:

The Small Voice

You know you want to share it
But scared of what they'll say
Will it come out a squeak or wisper?
Or completely go away?
A stage
A single spotlight
Waiting for a voice
To lead them through the night
To give them a choice.
A voice for the voiceless
An opinion for the weak.
However we need one
That's not timid nor meek.
I need to be strong
Not for me
But for others
We all need a voice
My sisters and my brothers.
Bravery doesn't come easy
But I'll force it if I have to
For I am the voice
Singing out for you.

TA-DA!!

The Fantastic Blog Award

I've been nominated my very first blog award by Emily from Blog of a (Maybe) Teen Author!!!!! And now for the pure enjoyment of my friends at Camp Huston.....

WHOOHOO! ( inside joke)

                                                                       The Rules:

1. Thank the person who gave you the award and tag them.

2. Ask the next person five questions and answer the five questions given to you.

3. Award five new people.

4. Always post the rules! ;)

And So....

Thank You Emily, and if I could send this award right back to you I most definitely would! (:

Emilys Questions:

1.What is your favorite song, music artist, color, food, season? My favorite songs at the moment are Everybody Talks by Neon Trees and Too Close by Alex Clare and Coldplay is the best band within the history books as far as I'm concerned. My favorite color tends to change depending on what mood I'm in, some days it will go from purple to blue to orange to red.(At the moment it happens to be yellow though a few minutes ago it was green) I looooooove my dads clam pasta, it is DELISH! My favorite season.... hmmm...... summer I think.

2.Why do you blog? A Mostly to get my stuff out there and get different opinions on my writing. My followers have definitely taken a major role in helping me become a better writer. Thank You!

3. If you could spend 24 hours with any one person from history, anyone at all, who? The catch: you can't tell anyone from the past who you are or anyone from the present where you went/who you met. Haha, I like this one(: Most likely Mark Twain, JK Rowling, or Emily Car. tough choice.

4. Tell us the two fashion/clothing things you hate most. Floral print jeans(ick, to tacky) and feather headbands(they look to much like roadkill)

5. Now you have to wear one of them. Which will it be? Oh god.... the feather headband, not as noticeable.

My Questions:

1. What five things could you not live without? (Food, water, oxygen, parents, and your house do not count)

2. Would you rather spend a week shopping at the mall or camping in the woods?

3. If you could spend a year in any country (besides the usa) on earth, where would you go?

4. Whats your favorite book, band, animal, article of clothing, subject in school, vegetable, and....... dinosaur?

5. By my sister Erin and her bff, Gracie: Which do you think is the better name for a squid: squiddy, squidicles,or squidina?
(Kristin: ummm, okaaaaaay. I'm not going to ask)

And the nominations go to......

Nancy Louise from My Oaxaca
Bailey from Big House in the Little Woods
Hannah from in Neverland
Sarah fromThe Writers Way
Allysa Liljequist from Life With a Mission

In the Dead Night By: Annamaria

Today I will be posting a poem by my friend Annamaria, the O-MAZING poet. I met her at church camp this summer, and she is one of the most eternally awesome, fantistical, spectacular, terrific, and for lack of a better word great people I have ever met. And so I give you the bunny, the fencer, the writer, the cryptozoologist, the nice one, the anime obsessed, the YAC member, the girl scout, the poet, the funny, the dragon lover, the Pokemon lover, the singer, the weird, shining in the dark ...

ANNAMARIA!!!!!!

In the Dead Night

By: Annamaria

In the dead of night
I hear a whisper,
And shiver with fright.
The moon shines brightly on the forest,
As the ghosts murmur their darkest chorus.
The shadows creep into your brain,
One by one they came
Until you were no more.
But shining in the sky,
Master of the spooks and spies,
Is the moon gleaming bright,
In the dead of this deadly night.

....Amazing, right? She has a talent I tell you, that will ever seize to amaze me (:

Shadows (Prologue to Spark by kristin1)

Yo my peeps! (:

Sorry, I know I said I'd have my book out by Friday and it's SUNDAY,but I just published it on the wattpad website *squeal of excitement*!!!!

If you'd like to read it, just click here and it will take you to the wattpad website. Search Spark by kristin1 and it should appear below. Please comment on either wattpad or my blog on what you think! It would also mean a lot if you passed the word along to anyone you know, I don't have that much publicity.

Shadows (Prologue to Spark by kristin1)

"Noooooooo!" I screamed in agony as my hands continued to slip farther and farther off the edge of the rocky cliffs. I looked down, but there was nothing to see, only blackness.

I tried with all my heart and soul to hang onto it.....

but there was truly no hope left to hang onto.

Swallowed up in despair, I let go, trailing blood across the stony surface as I dropped into my own hopelessness.

Down.

Under the dark shadows of cruelty.

The only direction I ever seemed to go.

I screamed out for help as I was pulled into the unforgiving shadows.

But there was no one left to save me now, no one that cared enough to come. I was alone.

So I fall. Down, down, down I go.

Tumbling into the darkness............

The Trees are Calling... (and a bunch of other random stuff I feel like posting)

Hey everyone... with school just starting up I haven't had a whole lot of time on the computer, sorry! It seems like I'm always saying that doesn't it?

Before I get to the writing piece for the day, I have a few other things I must share with you all:

First off, my wonderful Nana (Nancy Louise)  has just started a new blog called my My Oaxaca about her trip to Oaxaca, Mexico. She will be staying and helping at a children's learning center for three weeks, though other than that I don't no very many details over it honestly. She's spent months and months preparing for this trip, and having used her broken toaster and microwave for almost a year, I know she's made a lot of sacrifices for it too! (:

And secondly, I'm writing my first book on the wattpad website, and I'm going to be publishing it by this Friday at least. If you would like to find it just look up wattpad.com on google and then search for kristin1 or Spark. You should find a book called Spark by kristin1, the cover will most likely have a burning candle on it. I've only got two chapters on it at the moment, but I'll make sure to update soon! Please leave a comment and vote if you like it! It would mean a lot!

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that's it.  This piece I wrote a while ago, it's one of my favorites.  It's not a poem, I felt like posting something a little different today I guess:

                                                 The Trees are Calling

Cold rain runs down my face, beating against my neck as I look up into the gray blanket of sky. I let the drops slowly wash away my tears, my pain, then I close my eyes allowing myself to drift into another world. I imagine myself running, wild and free, off into a land of no worries, of no mountains that block our wild unreachable dreams. When I finally open my eyes, I just throw back my arms and just run. I keep going for lord knows how long, sprinting through the swaying trees. The wind runs it's cold fingers slowly through my dark hair as I go, rain pounding down on my face. My bare feet are numb from the freezing soil, but I don't care. I fly into the wild green wilderness. The trees call to me...

They are calling me home.

Binded Oposites

Sorry I haven't written in a while, been soo busy! I just got back from camp, and I went strait to Idaho from there. I had to post this on my grandparents computer.

A sin, a gift
A shadow, a light
A tear to be spilled
A hopeful delight

The high, the low
The dark, the bright
The blessing and curse
The blackened and white

All to be shared
The same heart, the same mind
To even the other
To split and to bind
